Lower Macungie Library
With an emphasis on literacy and lifelong learning, Lower Macungie (PA) Library informs, enriches and empowers the community. The library is a gateway to information with a carefully curated collection of print, audio and digital resources. Quality programming brings the community together in a welcoming gathering space where people of all ages can learn, discover and grow. Lower Macungie Library has close to 100,000 items in its collection. Of particular note are the Mandarin and local history collections. Founded in 2001, Lower Macungie Library has positively impacted the lives of countless residents in a cost effective manner thanks to the generous support of Lower Macungie Township and the Borough of Alburtis. Numerous donors and volunteers help to ensure the vitality of the library.
As a prelude to a capital campaign, Lower Macungie Library sought to better define and grow its brand. We recommended a two-step process initially including a marketing communications audit to determine how effectively the library communicates consistent messages to key constituencies and a marketing communications brief to capture the library’s story in a compelling and succinct way.
Lower Macungie Library knows it’s the best kept secret in Lower Macungie Township. We needed expert advice and counsel to help us. We asked Joan to help identify the best sources to promote our services and frame our message. Results from the communications audit and messages developed through the communications brief are helping us build a marketing program and develop our brand as a library that “informs, enriches, and empowers our community.”
